Scotch whisky casks stacked and maturing in a bonded warehouse

Create — Partnership Casks

Some Partnerships
Are Worth Maturing.

Acquire a Scotch whisky cask when an important relationship begins and release limited editions as that partnership develops.

A Living Record of a Business Relationship

“A Partnership Cask transforms a signing, investment, joint venture or strategic relationship into something tangible that develops over time.”

Rather than creating one short-lived gift, the cask becomes the foundation of a multi-year programme — releasing limited editions at agreed milestones as the relationship matures.

How It Works

The Partnership Cask Programme

01

Acquire the Cask

Select and acquire a suitable cask at the start of the relationship.

02

Define the Programme

Create the partnership story, ownership structure and future release plan.

03

Milestone Assessments

Sample or assess the whisky at agreed milestones throughout maturation.

04

Bottle Selected Quantities

Release bottles for anniversaries, renewals or major achievements where technically and legally practical.

05

Final Resolution

Retain, sell or bottle the remaining whisky at the agreed end point.

Suitable Moments

  • Strategic partnership signing
  • Company launch or investment
  • Joint venture
  • Merger or acquisition
  • Major contract award
  • International market entry
  • Founder or leadership succession

Potential Editions

Signing Edition

Bottled at the outset to mark the beginning of the relationship.

First Anniversary Edition

A small release at twelve months to recognise the first milestone.

Five-Year Partnership Edition

A more substantial release acknowledging sustained commercial success.

Project Completion Edition

Released when a defined project, transaction or objective is delivered.

Founder's Release

A named allocation recognised with the founders or principals of the venture.

Final Cask Edition

The concluding bottling at the agreed end of the programme.

Programme Design

Assessed Before Confirmed

Not every cask can be repeatedly accessed or bottled in small portions economically. WCG and its whisky partners will assess cask size, maturation, warehouse operations, minimum bottling quantities and duty implications before confirming a programme. All future release dates, yields and whisky quality remain subject to maturation and operational assessment.

Create a Lasting Partnership Asset

The cask matures. The relationship deepens.
